About Us

The Sick and Shut-In Ministry was founded in memory of our daughter Dwainette Tachelle Daniels. Tachelle was born in Los Angeles, California on January 13,1971 and passed away November 10, 2012, she was forty-one years old.

The mission of the Sick and Shut-In Ministries is to provide prayer and visits to as many people as possible who are sick and shut-in, to lead people to Christ and to use this site as a fundraising tool to further God's work.

We saw firsthand through our daughter what it was like to be sick and shut-in at home and in the hospital. While visiting with her we also witnessed others in hospitals who expressed the lack of having prayer and visits. We soon noticed that family and friends started fading away. After our daughter passed away, God touched our hearts in a way that we felt compelled to do what we could to help those who were sick and in need of prayer and visits, as a result this is how the Sick and Shut-in Ministries came to be.

We all should care for the sick and shut-in, whether they are a member or non-member of our church family. There are many churches who have a sick and shut-in ministry, however far too often, caring for and visiting the sick stops within the walls of the church. There are tens of thousands of sick and shut-in people in their homes, hospitals, nursing homes, and long term care facilities that feel left out, forgotten, and lost.

Wouldn’t it be great if through visitation, prayer, and love, we could bring the sick, their family, and friends to Christ? We must remember Christ turned a lot of non-believers into believers by healing the sick.

It is our hope that churches that have a sick and shut-in ministry will participate in our sick and shut-in Ministry directory.

(NKJV) Matthew 4:23-25 23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people. 24 Then His fame went throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them. 25 Great multitudes followed Him—from Galilee, and from Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea, and beyond the Jordan.
